David was introduced to the Feldenkrais Method in 2004 on an Aikido course where he observed a shoulder injury resolved in an easy gentle manner. Intrigued he started attending lessons and workshops and then in 2016 an opportunity arose to join the Feldenkrais Teacher Training program in London. During the course David was a student representative on the Guild Committee and subsequently stayed on it for 2 years, taking the primary responsibility to organise and co-ordinate the annual Feldenkrais Awareness Week.
David has been practising Aikido for 19 years, with more than 10 of those as a teacher. The Feldenkrais Method has both improved and informed how he practises and teaches Aikido and his Aikido has improved his Feldenkrais skills.
David is a keen walker and hiker, a Walk Leader on Hartlepool Council Health Walks and he enjoys nothing better to study his fellow walkers gait and look at how they could improve it to make walking easier and more fun.
The Feldenkrais Method is a study of all aspects of movement including transitions from lying to sitting to standing and then from this into all manner of activities sporting or otherwise. David has worked with all manner of aches and pains and how they can be improved by changing movement habits and using the whole body more efficiently.
As Moshe famously quoted, the Feldenkrais Method is about making the Impossible Possible, the Possible Easy and the Easy Elegant.
David was introduced to the Feldenkrais Method in 2004 on an Aikido course where he observed a s...
